A half an hour a day to change your life!

Exercise is incredibly important for your health, but it’s not the only thing that matters. I would argue it’s the best place to start if you're on the path to regain your health.

A holistic approach to health typically includes several key factors:

Exercise: Regular physical activity improves cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles and bones, boosts mental health, and helps maintain a healthy weight. The World Health Organization recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week for adults.

Nutrition: A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats is essential for overall health. Proper nutrition supports your immune system, energy levels, and long-term disease prevention.

Sleep: Quality sleep is critical for physical and mental recovery, cognitive function, and emotional well-being. Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per night.

Stress Management: Chronic stress can negatively impact your physical and mental health. Practices like mindfulness, meditation, or hobbies can help manage stress.

Social Connections: Strong relationships and social support are linked to better mental health and even longevity.

Avoiding Harmful Habits: Limiting alcohol, avoiding smoking, and steering clear of recreational drugs are crucial for long-term health.

Regular Check-ups: Preventive healthcare, including screenings and vaccinations, helps catch potential issues early.

My experience, personally and while working with clients, is that exercise is most often the keystone habit that makes  a tremendous shift; encouraging  or naturally shifting other factors such as sleep, and diet.  Once an exercise routine begins and weight is shifting we tend to desire better nutrition. It snowballs into other areas of life as well, boosting mental and energetic states.

While exercise is a cornerstone of health, it works best when combined with these other factors. Think of it as one piece of a larger puzzle. If you’re just starting, focus on small, sustainable changes in multiple areas rather than trying to perfect one aspect at a time.

If the thought of starting an exercise program intimidates you, lets work together! I’ll walk along side you and we will break down barriers and beliefs – find out how a half an hour a day can shift your life tremendously!
